1997 - Nuplas started operations at Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai , with one Berstorff Calender for manufacturing Rigid PVC Film. 1998 - The company diversified into manufacturing Polystyrene Disposable Cups and processes about 1000 tons of Polystyrene every year. 1999 - Within a short span of two years the company expanded its manufacturing capacity by installing an Extruder to meet the growing demand of the packaging and stationery film market. Now with a total installed capacity of 600 tons per month Nuplas is the largest manufacturer of Rigid PVC Film in the Middle East. 2000 - It was a natural progression from PVC Films to PVC Thermoforming and as a part of forward integration the company installed a sophisticated Illig thermoforming machine capable of forming PVC and APET Films. 2001 - Added one more Illig machine to augment the existing capacity. 2003 – Established a trading division for dealing in BOPP Film of Exxon Mobil, Europe. 2004 – Started Rigid PVC Film Sheeting and produces A4, A3 and other sheet sizes as required by the customer. With sheeting capacity of 200 tons a month the company is geared to meet large volume business and is currently supplying sheets to major stationery houses in Europe and Middle East under Private Label Programme. 2005 - The company added PP, PVC and Paper Index Dividers to its manufacturing portfolio and installed a European line capable of producing 250 sheets per minute. 2006 – Added new products like Soft PVC Film, Grey Board, PP Sheets, Ring Mechanisms, PVC Foam, to its trading division. Appointed as Distributor for BOPP Films of Exxon Mobil, Europe, for UAE, OMAN, QATAR, BAHRAIN, YEMEN and KUWAIT.
